Congratulations to our PhD student Rosfaiizah Siran who is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM. She recently won the Second Prize for Best Oral Presentation at the 6^th Congress of the European Federation of IASP [ International Association for the Study of Pain]  Chapters [EFIC] held in Lisbon, Portugal from 9 – 12 September 2009. Her abstract was entitled : Down Regulatory Antagonist Modulator [DREAM] Expression In Relation To Formalin Induced Pain in Rapin Eye Movement [REM] Sleep Deprived Rats.

The award also includes the following:

1. Waiver of registration fees for the next EFIC Congress  in Hamburg Germany in  2011
2. Free hotel accomodation during the EFIC Congress in Hamburg Germany 2011
3. Euro 1000

BRAINetwork is especially proud of Rosfaiizah Siran as this is the first time she has presented orally at an International Conference and was able to win an award for her excellent research work. Congratulations and we pray for better things to come......
